Ideon: Ideon -> How to create your own Ideon Portfolio

One of the new features Ideon offers to all registered members is to set up their own online portfolio. The portfolio of your works can be easily set up, further modified and accessed from almost any area of Ideon. Online portfolio is a good way how to present your own works and expose them to general public ready for compliments and comments. This step by step tutorial will show you how to set up your own portfolio within just a few clicks!


To start with, please make sure your are registered and logged in. In the drop down menu behind your Name select My Settings. You will be redirected to Your Options panel enabling you to fine tune various Ideon modules. Make sure you chose the Gallery link. Under the Gallery section you will be able to set up your Albums and edit them any time you need. You will need to set up your first album by clicking on the link.


The New Album screen will ask you for the basic setting of your new album. The Album Name and Album Description fields are self-explanatory. When choosing the Category of your new album, please make sure you select the Member's Gallery. This is important so that your album is not saved to some other area of the Gallery. When chosing the Parent Album - for the first time choose the album to be a Top Level one. Any of your future albums may have any of your own albums as their parent. Like this you will be able to build a structure to your works - projects.


After completing the albums by clicking on Create Album button, you will be redirected to the Album Manager. You will be able to see the list of your albums, you will be able to edit them or after clicking on them you will be able to add your images / photos.


The Submit Image screen is self explanatory, you may fill the Caption as well as the Description of your images, you may mention your copyright and eventually to select and upload the image file from your computer.


Your work is complete! After creating your own portfolio you will be able to see an orange button link within your profile page as well as next to your profile photo in all your forum posts.


Clicking on it you will be redirected to your portfolio.


Once completed, your portfolios will be stored under the Members' Gallery section of the Ideon's Gallery
