Dezeen Wire: an architect from one of the firms that collaborated with Foster + Partners on the design of the Beijing Capital International Airport Terminal in China says that recent damage caused by wind had nothing to do with the quality of the design – The Washington Post Shao Weiping of the Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute said he was “very confident that the design was perfect and involved no mistakes or flaws.” China state media say passengers reported seeing roofing material from Terminal 3 blowing across the runway and through the three-year-old terminal building. It is the second time in a year that wind has reportedly affected the structure.…
